Re: Comments on Kiehan Silencers - How do they compare with Armour stainless steel silencers? ie. quality, sound and finish. I am about to make the investment and would appreciate any advise.

There is a thread at the bottom of this page on this subject or it might have dropped onto the previous page. If you were to drop a Commando with an expensive set of silencers on, they would probably be trashed, (at least one side) For the cost of quality chrome silencers, these are more readily replaced and the life of them is much better than it used to be. If you are doing massive mileages in all weather, stainless would be the way ahead. If not, chrome would do and the colour won't change.

I appreciate your comments David.

I just make the following point. When I bought the MkIII the chrome on the silencers was in quite good condition, apart from being badly scratched around the pillion footrest area.

Had the silencers been stainless I could possibly have polished out the scratched area and saved the cost of new silencers.
