Sets of engine and gearbox mounting bolts

Forums

I have a '62 650SS in bits but mainly restored. I don't want to put back the engine and gearbox mounting bolts as they are pretty knackered and let the rest down. The rest of the other bolts etc. are also well worn.

Does anyone know a supplier who can make me up a complete set? That would save making up a list that I don't know would be correct. I would prefer plated steel, but will go with stainless if that's all that's obtainable.

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Having sensed there wasn't going to be an easy solution, I picked Stainless Classics of Feltham from from the site suppliers list and struck it lucky. Not only did he help me with the correct engine and gearbox nuts, bolts and studs, he will be able to meet my fastener needs for other components of the bike. Better than that, I can pick the stuff up at Stafford on Sunday!

RGM also do a complete engine plate to frame nut, bolt, and washer kit, made in stainless steel, and made exactly like the original Norton item. They also list a complete engine to engine plate kit. They will send you their catalouge free of charge. Will Horgan who runs Stainless Classics has a stall at Kempton Park, opposite the Johnsons Cables stall in the long shed in the middle of the site. His phone number is 0208 751 1931, and email is stainlesshorgan@yahoo.co.uk His stainless steel items are of the best quality, and finish.

Thanks Anthony, your endorsement of Will Horgan (Stainless Classics) is good enough for me. I've placed an order with him for a much as he can supply of all the fasteners needed. He confirms he'll bring a set to Stafford for pick-up. Cheers, Allan

PS. He's also a nice guy to deal with!
