Forums

Hi all,

Has anyone fitted a practical screen on a MK3 commando, not a huge one just enough to keep the wind off at higher speeds. If so where fromwhere, make etc. Any info will be very much appreciated, cheers, Tony.

Hi Antony - the next edition of Roadholder (November) has a few options for Commando screens.

Yes, thanks Chris, Idon'tthink that quite fits in with the Antony's requirements.

Just for the record that is me attempting forty winks somewhere in Norway. The screen is a full fairing from Pantera fitted in 1978. The company was down inBournemouthbut I believe vanished many years ago.

The bike and fairing are still going strong, rode back from John O'Groates to home in one hit a few weeks ago, 720 miles in 13.5 hours elapsed. 12 hours in the saddle. Without the fairing I do not think I could have done that.

I know this helps you not a bit but I enjoyed being reminded of the Norway trip.

Hi Tony,

As I mention in my response:-

It is a Comaco Pantera fairing but the company wasdissolvedmany years ago.

If you use the search on this site you will find some info on a screen from Dave Evans.

Regards

Tony
