Rocker feed oil leak

Forums

Hi, Have a 69 Commando with the early metal oil feed line to the rockers. All fine apart from a leak on the RH banjo bolt between the inner copper washer and the head.

After numerous trials with different washers and sealant it looks like it is coming from the t joint above the rocker feed.

I see that Norvil can supply the metal replacement feed. I would rather keep it original if possible rather than switch to the braided type.

So the question is how difficult is it to bend the metal pipe to shape- especially around the RH T piece to fit the RH rocker feed banjo (bit of a nasty bend near the joint).

Probably one for the guys with the early Nortons.

Thx Eddie Cross

If the pipe is annealed copper it will be very easy.  That is: at that gauge it should not buckle and collapse (like copper central heating pipe would).
