Don't know, but both my Roadster & my Interstate seats measure 10&7/8" between the lugs when removed from the bikes, I suspect when clamped up by the seat nuts, they would be arround 10&3/4 so looks like your seat is incorrect.

Phew, thanks for that Tim. I will get it back to Wassels first thing .

If you don't get any joy, ask for a refund and buy a seat from Leightons. (guaranteed fit)& excellent quality.

An exotic thought, I know, but ever considered buying a Genuine Factory Spare Parts seat from Andover Norton or one of their distributors? Before Andover Norton re-started seats they checked all original drawings and made sure the seats are correct. Never had a fit issue with one. And I sell 20-30 Norton seats per year through my German company Norton Motors GmbH, all sourced from Andover Norton.

My twopennyworth- buying from Andover Norton you are likley to get a seat that fits of known quality. Buying from other sources may be a couple of quid cheaper, but its probably made in any of a thousand Indian workshopshops with no quality control.
I bought a seat cover from Norvil to fit myself, and that was rubbish.
