Restoration books

Hi Everyone,
I have just joined the club and hope to buy a Commando in the near future. My current thinking is a left hand gear change model with an electric start. Mk.3?
But before I jump in, I wanted to educate myself a little further. I noticed on Amazon that there is two restoration books available. One by Norman White and one by Chris Rooke.
Can any one recommend either books?
My own experience with Commandos was 45 years ago when I fitted a Commando engine into a Slimline frame. It went well, but the vibration (it had been balanced!) made bits fall off regularly!
A few years ago, I did a nut & bolt restoration on a BSA B50SS. I sold it to a journalist who did an article on it in the November 2017 Real Classic magazine. I should never have sold it!
Currently, I have a Yamaha 700 Tracer, and compete in trials on a Sherco 300.
I live in Fife and would be keen to hear from any local members.

Bacon's 'Norton Twins…

Bacon's 'Norton Twins Restoration' is very comprehensive and I'd recommend it as an introduction and compendium. It is not a workshop manual but describes and illustrates most variants (including Dommies and Lightweights)

Thank you David for your recommendation. But I'm looking for a book that is a bit of a workshop manual as well.
I get the impression from the reviews, it's more of a "coffee table book"?

I did find a post titled Norton twin restoration manual from 2017, but it didn't help much.

The two manuals I found on Amazon, mentioned above, specifically cover Commandos. I'm not really interested in earlier models, so I imagine a book that covers a large range of twins will be "watered down somewhat?"
