Hi, I have bike which I want to buy.

i need to know if it?s 1969 S.

Hi,

Based on the engine number of 131420 this was probably initially an S but the exhaust implies it is now a roadster. as there is little difference.

Tank looks more like a Hi rider tank.

The Commando S type and the Roadster were the same bike apart for the exhaust system, and they both shared the same owners handbook.

Right! You can use both exhaust systems. Here is my 1970 Commando (blue) as a Roadster :

and as a S-Type:

Had to go as a Roadster temporarly because the left S-type header broke.Same bike only different tires and wrong seat, got the original seat later via ebay.
