Oil pressure gauge No.7

Forums

I have a Smiths oil pressure gauge to fit to my No. 7 tank, which has a factory prepared hole already in it, but I don't know where to connect the business end of the coiled copper piping connected to the gauge. Can anyone help and if possible with a photo please.

Thanks

Hi William,

Remove the bolt below the oil pressure release valve (see attachment) and replace it with a suitable oil pipe union. The chamber behind the bolt leads directly to the pressure feed to the crankshaft

Hi Robert

That's really helpful and thanks for the photo. I see exactly where to fit it and this will be my next rainy day job which with the summer we're having probably won't be far away.
