Norvil rearsets on a Mercury

Forums

Has anyone installed rearsets from Norvil on a slimline featherbed frame. I am interested to know whether one uses the existing hole on the left side (pivot hole for the original brake arm) as the mounting point? Also is it correct to drill a hole on the right frame side in the same place as the left (if the answer to Q1 is yes)?

If not what advice?

thanks

Dominic

"... it is necessary to drill a 7/16" hole in the gusset plate of the frame on each side. Its position is 1 1/4" below and 3/8" forward of the centre of the pivoted fork (swinging arm) attachment bolt. It is not correct to drill a hole on the offside to match the standard brake pedal mounting hole on the nearside"
