Mk3 Speedo Cable

Just cleaning the rear wheel and noticed that the metal cover on the speedo cable is (lightly) rubbing on the rear sprocket.

I assume it runs close, but surely there should be a reasonable clearance?

I think I have all the right spacers etc and I can't see any obvious way of moving the speedo gearbox further out. Any ideas?

Yes my cable runs close to the sprocket, I secure it to the swing arm with a plastic tie so it can't vibrate any nearer.

Just check the cable is straight and not bent inwards when the nut was tightened.
