Help needed to solve insurance problem
I have built (nearly)my Commando in the flat where i live!!!
Problem being, to put wheels etc on to start it up I will have to get it into the garage.
So just incase of theft I would like to have it insured but as the sum value of parts exceeds the limit of £5000
Bike + new parts plus labour would come to around £8,000 so insurance companies want a independant valuation
Dilemma is risking damage trying to take it and parts to Norvil; also having it in the garage where risk of theft is possible?
So is there a specialist that can give a independant valuation as is with proof of receipts to costs before I move out of my flat???
Also at a reasonable cost!!
Solutions or info most grateful

I negotiated an agreed valuation with Carole Nash by emailing them photographs.
More than happy with the agreed value and it was quick.

The club, in conjunction with Footman James were looking in to the possibility of providing valuations for insurance purposes. Chris Grimmett may have more info on this. (webmaster@nortonownersclub.org)
Sadly the cost of a rebuilt bike seldom approaches the cost of the parts and labour it took to build it. Even if you paid fora valuation you may be very disappointed by the amount that the assessor decides your bike is worth.
