hi everyone, i have just purchased a 1972 750 commando but it has a silver/grey frame this is the first norton i have owned is this a standard colour as i thought black was the norm

Almost certain they were all black. Grey can look very good though! I saw one with matching grey tank at the Norton Euro rally in June, built by Norton Holland Works.

I've never heard of any factory Commando having a frame in anything other than black — except, of course, for the Earls Court show prototype.

does seam strange, i am thinking of painting it but if that is the original colour i think it should stay. any ideas as to how i can find out? thanks Daryl
