Fly screen

Forums

I have looked, all but briefly, to find a fly screen to fit a 1972 Commando Interstate. Not too fussed on make, an after market one would suffice. I was wondering if anyone out there had one to sell or knew of an outlet.

Many Thanks

Mark.

I posted some info on page 24 of this thread list regarding my Puig windscreen. I've transfered it to my Rotary now and it continues to give good service. I fitted two additional struts to the indicators to brace it up a bit. The noise levels are a bit of an issue with any screen as it is about 12" from my helmet visor. I plan on experimenting with a small adjustable "sub screen" to deflect the air over my helmet without the screen being another 6" higher. Try M&P and Busters, cost? about £75 If you intend mile munching, a screen is a must IMHO

Heresy but I fitted one from a new type Bonneville. Don't know how much because it was from a car boot sale and cost £30. It works to keep the weight off my arms but is a bit noisy-aren't they all.

Mark. More heresy for you, I fitted a nosecone screen off a B.M.W R90s,my version is bolted to the large chrome top nuts (tapped thread) and a support attached at the bottom of the headstock. Looks great takes the wind blast off you and,is not handlebar mounted! Choice of screen too. The fairing and screen can be had from from B.M.W spares people,Brackets need to be fabricated by someone who knows whats what
