Emgo pistons?

Just a quick question for those who have used or know of people who have used the Emgo pistons? What are they like compared to the originals? And also I have an 850 mk3, looking at the emgo pistons for the 850they do not have the recess for the valves that the older 750 have is this correct? Or should all the pistons have the recess on top?

Thanks

Richard

Hi Richard,

I have no experience of Emgo Pistons but standard 850 pistons do differ from the 750 in that they are completely flat on the top unlike the 750 which, as you said, have recesses for the valves. The 850 pistons are not handed either.

Cheers, Paul.

Personally, I would stick with the pistons that would be supplied by ANIL. I think EMGO claim to be suppliers to the Japanese bike manufacturers and the replacement parts market, but having used their oil filters and original OEM filters there is a big difference in quality. I think if you fitted EMGO pistons, you may have that feeling that you might not have fitted the best in this very critical area, and area that if it fails it will cost big style.
