I don't have an extra, but mine was also missing, gremlins no doubt took it!!! I had to call Norvil & got all new, & the price was les than I expected.

Lucky lad!!! They must have got your invoice wrong.

The cost of the disc and spring, from them, plus P&P, etc is nowapproaching £40. I got three new ball bearings formy gearbox for less than this. Which is harder to manufacture?

To me this is another example of 'rip-off' pricing!!!

Hi Phil !!

I usually order a bunch of parts at a time & take advantage of the "the more you buy, the more you save" program. The disc is currently 25.38 GBP & the spring is 2.48 GBP (before discount). I feel the price is a bargain. The dis is not a stamping, but a pricision machined part, where someone has to take a piece of barstock on a lathe machine the O.D., counter bore the I.D.,take the part yo a milling machine to machine the 2 tangs, back to the lathe to then cut off to length, then either have a custom punch & die made & punch the 2 special holes, or go to a cnc mill and have them machined. Thats a lot of work for 25.38 GBP. When I needed mine, I searched here in the USA & the part number didnt come up on any of the websites over here, and if it did, they tend to overcharge us over here for British parts. I can usually buy in the UK& pay shipping for less than I can buy over here.

Have you found the breather & spring cheaper somewhere else? And is it made correctly? Let me know. As to bearings, well thats a whole other animal !!!!!!! It has to do with how common a bearing is. A single row wheel bearing #065542 is what, 7 GBP ? I needed a bearing for an electric motor that was 1/2 its size & cost me 5 times as much !!! Crazy, but true.
