Commando oil pipes

Hi, I am thinking of replacing the oil pipes on my 850 mk 1 with stainless steel ones, can any one please tell me what diameter, andlengths I require.

5/16" bore, just take the old ones off and measure them. Are you talking about Goodrich type braided hoses? These are normally made with threaded fittings and would have to have the mating fitting "fitted" to your connections. The stainless mesh offers no improvement in strength but it will saw through anything it rubs against.

Hi Maurice. Please check internal bore size of your oil pipes, in my experiance 850s have 3/8 inch (nearly 10mm) pipe. Try and get Goodyear brand as it is more flexible and easier to route and fit. I abandoned fittiing another brand that was to ridged to fit over the metal tails.

Hi Ian, Thanks for the reply, most of the pipe is 3/8" as you said, with one section of 1/2". I will see whats available from suppliers.
