I have only done 3000 miles on my Commando since a complete rebuild, on pressing the tickler on the RH carb to flood the float bowl prior to starting, petrol immediately started pouring out of the tickler.
Everything was tight, I could not find the problem until I removed the float bowl, there were tiny holes in the float itself, I suspect that ethanol in the petrol has perished it, I have replaced both floats with the upgraded ones from Amal.
Has anyone else came across this problem?
(Floats were new when installed last year).
