Evening folks.
Can anyone tell me please what are the thicknesses of the two plates (one thicker than the other)which go either side of the camshaft chain tensioner on a Domminator engine and also details of the two studs that the tensioner blade mounts on?
Thanks, Mick

Hi Mick - Quoting from my old 1967 650 manual, the thinner of the 2 plates fit on 1st, long end down, followed by the tensioner, the thicker plate fits on top of the tensioner, with the long end up
as well as the locking washers, I also put a drop of threadlock oto the studthreadss before fitting the nuts, making sure that both studs and nuts are cleaned and grease-free
hope this is useful - Terry
Thanks Terry.
My problem is I have a box of these plates and they all seem to be the same thickness. I was wondering if anybody knew the ticknesses to differentiate between a thin plate and a thick plate. Similarly I have some studs but I not know how long the tuds should be.
Cheers Mick

Sorry Mick, old age interferring again - the thinner of the 2 plates according to my micrometer measures 0.067", the thicker0.010"The stud measures 1+3/16" in length, is 5/16" diameter and has 1/2" of whitworth thread into the crankcase, a non threaded part of 1/8"and then 9/16" of bscycle thread.
I must try harder!! Terry
