Camshaft bushes

Forums
in the middle of the camshaft bushes is a little oil feed hole - is this supposed to line up with the drilling in the crankcase, or is there a little radial recess sandwiched between the bush and case for the oil to make its way through?Attachments Photo0045.jpg

The bush has a groove around itsoutside, which should coincide with the hole. The bush has a taper at one end to aid insertion, and it is not symmetrical. On my Dominator it didn't line up properly, the crankcase hole was drilled in the wrong place and the camshaft journal ran due to oil starvation.

I haven't decided how to fix mine yet, I might just machine the bush to make the groove wider.

My earlier comment was about the drive side camshaft bush - it looks like the same principle applies to the timing side, but it has no taper.
