getting on with the build but how does the rev counter cable get past the exhaust balance pipe without getting hot?

getting on with the build but how does the rev counter cable get past the exhaust balance pipe without getting hot?

It goes between the balance pipe and cylinder head. The steel armour protects it. It's not in intimate contact with the exhaust and doesn't get particulary warm.
