My bike as you may have seen from earlier picture is a rather tatty black. I was led to believe that it was an American market bike and returned to the UK in 2008. Having received the factory record from AN it appears it was a UK bike supplied to Elite Motorcycles in Tooting so can only assume it was purchased in the UK and exported to the US. It is also shown on the record as being Blue. Am I right in saying that this would have been the rather spangly Fireflake Blue. This is the only blue mentioned in the colour chart on th AN website. Is anyone aware of any other Blue's available in 71? Might be a bit too spangly for me! On the subject of Elite Motorcycles. Combat Colours
My 1972 750 Combat engined Interstate came with a disc brake, indicators, a dodgy clutch and a solid dark blue coloured tank. The same year Roadster was available with the Royal Blue finish as seen in the chart as follows.
