As below lifted from Chapter 50 of an earlier version of the Dominator Service Notes.
For some reason the Notes covered up to 1954 then there is a gap until 1957.
1948-54, Model 7, 1948: Cycle parts: Black Fuel Tank: Home Market –Polychromatic Grey with Silver panels (top & both sides) Export Market - Chrome with Silver Panels
1950-52, Model 77: This model was released in several colour variants, most had chrome tanks, but some were painted.
as per Model 7
entirely Polychromatic Grey, with black and red lines
entirely Polychromatic Blue, with black and red lines
1952, Model 88:
entirely Polychromatic Grey, chrome tank - Grey panels, with black and red lines
Blue panels on a chrome tank, with black and white lines
The finish of the Model 88 in the photograph looks reasonably correct to me. My guess being that this bike has been resprayed as both Polychromatic Blue and Silver degraded with age and ended up with a greenish hue as below.
