Hi Guys,
The hubs on my MK3 were nice and shiny years ago, however they were almost impossible to keep polished due to access. Has anybody in the NOC world ever painted the hubs, i have considered powdercoating the hubs or using Cerakote ceramic coating to try and make them easier to clean.
Any thoughts ?

I remember in olden days a…
I remember in olden days a thin leather belt around the hub kept it clean & shiny, something like a narrow dog collar?
The alternative is just to drop it out & clean it & yes it is a pain, but you feel so virtuous when it's done (scraped & stubbed fingers & knuckles not withstanding) ;-)

Any coating on alloy hub is subject to cracking as alloy is not as stiff as cast iron, the ceramic may work but powder coat I would avoid.
