Forums

Hi does anyone have any idea to where I can get my speedo on a 1973 750 Commando repaired or replaced?

Thanks

I used David Woods for a 1957 Smiths on a 350 Bullet. Came back as new and have had no problems at all but it was a while ago (£100). Assume he could do a Commando. Chichester.  01243 542521. Trust helps Hugh

If it's a Smith's then all the previous comments apply, if it's a Veglia then good luck, it's not made to be repaired so you need to find someone who has new internals to swap.

I have just had the Smiths  rev counter and speedo (both magnetic) from my 1968 Velo clubman! serviced, and re-calibrated by Stuart Walker at Classic Speedometers    (info@classic-speedometers.com)

Very pleased with price and service, new glass and bezel etc, they even converted trip mechanism from side to bottom entry, with a longer adjuster.

Hope this helps

SpeedoI recently used Stuart Walker at Classic Speedometers. Quality job at a good price. I didn’t go the whole refurbishment, face and dials left original.

Hi all, I asked a few weeks ago as to where to get a speedometer repaired. Some of you suggested Classic Speedometers in Mansfield , Stuart Walker is who i spoke to and sent off my speedo & 3 weeks later it arrived back looking like new. Now fitted to Commando 750 & working like new. I would definitely recommend this company.
