Cylinder Head Numbers
As Alan says 06-0380 is the number for a standard 750 cylinder head as produced for the first Commandos through to 1970. These cylinder heads, in slightly modified form, were also used on the very last 650 and 750 bikes including 650 SS, Atlas, Mercury and 750 Hybrids.

head identification
The BARE casting molds before machining is 06-0380
(early= positive letters)
(late =negative letters)71-72(inc combat)-73
Original bare early commando 28.5mm port head PN 06-0379 or with components PN 06-0988
The same bare casting when finished for later featherbed /hybrid 650 or 750 are not side oiler and instead are top oiler yet the raw casting mold is still the early 06-0380
