My 1974 Norton 850 Commando Roadster has a stock front Dunlap rim. The rear oddly is a Jones rim (same size). The Jones rim is in great condition. However, the front Dunlap rim has damage to the chrome platting. So I purchased a Central Wheel Components front rim. I noticed in Roadholder, an advertisement stating the rims are made in Birmingham for the past 120 years. My BSA has Jones rims. So, was CWC previously Dunlap, Jones or none of the above?

I think it was none of the above as I doubt they make the rims.
From their own website
Central Wheel Components Limited Prides itself on being Europeâs Largest stockist of Motorcycle Wheel Rims, Spokes and Nipples.
A Stockist does not make anything.

Just out of a bit off interest I recently got some new jones flanged alloy rims through a friend they are wassel but have the jones logo spoked one to a dominator hub and nipple angle and finish is good slightly more of a blip where the weldis when spun than I would have likedbut you can not see the weld on the polished outsideand it may just be that one. I was going to put the other to acommando mk11 rear that looks straightforward and if they make one later for the disc front, they are supplying a jones front billet alloy front hub as are other suppliers so presume they will.
