Replacement gauges

Forums

Hi all,  recently purchased a 1975 Mark3 that has been sitting since 2005. Serial number on motor is 325084.  Can not find any marking on frame?  Will be doing all the correct things to re commision her before attempt a start up. Located West Coast Canada. Shipping and exchange and brokerage really hurts from USA,  Europe is actually cheaper? Prefer sources in Canada if possible.

some questions ...

Best source for replacement electronic speedo and tach? Really like the look of the white face gauges. Definetely want to lose the speedo drive unit and cable.  Yes, I know they are not correct, but they are so pretty!

Best source for complete wheel sets with alloy rims?

Is the top triple tree meant to be cadmium plated from factory?

Best fork internal upgrade?  Anything like the Gold Valve emulators available?

Best rear suspension?  Do Ohlins make anything for this bike?

Don't mind spending on the suspension, looking for a noticeable performance  upgrade vs a budget cosmetic upgrade. Best money spent on a bike in my opinion.

Really appreciate any suggestions and look forward to hopefully being able to contribute to this forum and the club in general.

Put a £40 chinese GPS speedo on a BSA. Fitted into a Triumph rubber cup, don't look too bad. Works well. The inductive (wire tied to outside of plug lead) rev counter from Scitsu is popular among classis roadracers. One drawback on a street bike is lack of light. Have not yet tested any other A popular fork upgrade is the Lansdowne one. Now made in Canada. There are a number of other upgrades too. As far as I know, Ohlins don't make any rear shocks. In my opinion, an original suspension setup in good order works fairly well. I'd suggest waiting with any suspension upgrades until you've covered a lots of miles on it. For road use, if not pushed to its limit, the suspension gives a decent ride. One popular thing to upgrade is the front brake.

Fork yokes were painted silver.

Maxton https://www.maxtonsuspension.co.uk are the place for modified Roadholders that look original but work like a modern bike. They also make their own rear units which are highly regarded. Maxton are dealers for E-N Products http://www.e-nproducts.com/ from your side of the pond.

And Central Wheel https://www.central-wheel.co.uk/ for wheels but I'm sure you'll be able to find someone in Canada.
