Anyone got a broken or otherwise u/s brake/clutch mount?

Forums

As the picture shows, I've replaced my standard clutch lever with this dog-leg item (£5 in an autojumble). It amply clears the standard switch unit, but the latter has to be awkwardly angled to avoid interference from the now-redundant lever mounting.

Thus I'm looking for a broken or otherwise u/s brake/clutch mount that could be cut/filed down.

Does anyone in the UK have such a thing lying around? Swap for my good one, or beer vouchers.

Certain I saw a blank version of that front mount recently, just can't remember where, it had its own part number and was made by Lucas.

As you prefer comfort to original (and why not - I do) why don't  you take the opportunity to dump the old switch and fit something more ergonomic? There are lots available for not too much money that don't require 9" thumbs to operate. I fitted an early Honda Fireblade switch on my Dommie and it is way better than anything made by Lucas.

If you want something ergonomic try Domino- Thommaselli master switch from Holland Norton Works €58 + vat and for Mk3 owners the matching Start/kill switch for the rhs €34 + vat ( I’ve nothing to do with that company - just a satisfied customer). I fitted these plus Brembo levers and they transform the bike.

So keeping the original switchgear costs £0, and saves me having to faff about with the wiring …

(But if I wasn't, the HNW kit is certainly attractive.)
