Hi All,
I have been gifted a pair of 850 silencers in good condition off a US import with 5000 miles on it.
I have slight crash damage on one silencer on my 72 750. Am I right in assuming that these are a like for like swap? Can I just put them on without having to consider carb settings or fitting?
I am putting a rear light assembly from the same bike in classifieds shortly.

I was thinking that the 850 had the balance pipe while 750 doesnt would that be a difference to consider?

When you go to buy current aftermarket peashooters none of them are labeled as 750 or 850, only so fit them.

I don't see why you cannot run the 850 silencers.
They will surely breath better but they will probably result in a different exhaust tone.
Is the inlet for the 750 and 850 the same size?
