The first one you link to is…
The first one you link to is not yet published so no idea how good or bad its is, the second is not a restoration guide. The Roy Bacon restoration are just too generic and will match the BSA and Triumph instructions, so a real copy and paste job, so stick with Ian's suggestions.

The Club service notes are…
The Club service notes are very useful, not only for substantive info. but also for the wry comments on certain aspects of original design and manufacture which don't need elaboration here.
However, do bear in mind the rider attached to their serialisation in "Roadholder": the advice offered is now itself several decades old and hence likely to be superseded in some particulars.
The INOA "Technical Digest" available via the NOC Shop is thus an essential complement. The various videos available from the same source are also invaluable.
The pictures in the Haynes manual can also be useful, but do not put excessive trust in the text, especially in respect of detailed specifications.

... the official Norton workshop manual, enhanced by the Norton Commando notes from the Club (if still available). The workshop manual is available from RGM and others.
The service notes have recently been serialised in Roadholder.
I find Bacon's marque history books good but the restoration manuals tend to contain much of the same material every time (electrics, carbs etc).
