Hello.
I have just fitted new swinging arm bushes and now find that the swinging arm spindle will not go through fitted bushes (although it did before they were fitted)
has anyone had this problem and if so how did they overcome it.

I had the same problem, but I managed to ease the spindle in (with plently of oil) and it appeared it was just the ends of the bush had deformed slightly where they had been pressed in.
Once past the initial few mm they were fine.

just wondering does the shaft go thru the bush on each side individually and not both together or does it go thru either one at all.
if it is not going thru either of the bushes then it sounds like the bushes have deformed slightly when installed and may need to be opened up. If the shaft is going thru one side but not both it may be the swing arm is bent.
If the bushes have deformed you could ream them. You will need to use an adjustable reamer with a pilot to keep the reamer in line with the bush on the other side.
