What needle should be used in an SU fitted to late 750 Commando?
This 750 has an annoying flat spot at 4500rpm.

Hello Dave,
Needle should be BFD, spring should be RED & jet should be 0.10â, (identified by having one groove near the top of the jet tube).
What oil are you using in the dashpot? If you are using too thin oil, or have no oil in the dashpot, you will get flat spots. Use either 20/50, best & recommended by phoenix & SU, or straight 40.
