Anybody know the difference between Champion N7Y plugs & N7YCC and if the latter are suitable for a '71 750 Roadster?

There are knowlegeable people out there & any help would be appreciated.

Hi John,

N7Y is now the N7YC and the CC is double Copper Core.

All are suitable.

I am sure you will get many people giving different views on Champion / NGK / Bosch ... Should be interesting thread.

Regards

Tony

I have run my January 72 Commando on these plugs for 3 years now with no problems. I have a Pazon for sparks. I checked the plug gaps last month and found they were around 38 thou. I have cut this down to 28 thou and the engine starts even easier. You can pick these plugs up at Boot Sales and Auto Jumbles at give-away prices. I paid just £4 for a pack of 4 recently.

Hello Well I run on Bosch W7DTC there are lots more like this see Tim Green At Green spark plugs .co.uk These plugs are better for modern fuels and make starting more easy as they fire with a direct spark they give better fuel acconamy and a cleaner exhaust , yours anna j

Never had an issue with Champion and why would you want to put a solvent in your tank with know negative results when most of us still (Thank BP ultimate) have a choice!

Just a point, be careful cleaning modern plugs, not the same as the old ones that can be sand blasted.
