Hi, I've just fitted a RGM single Amal mk2 on my 1972 750. All went well, but it was difficult to start my bike, took about 10 kicks normally just a couple does it. Olso, had to keep, the throttle open to keep it running.

Mabee I'm missing something basic, any ideas before I start fiddling with the screws?

I hope I'm reading you correctly.... It sounds as though you have not adjusted the idle stop, and that it needs raising a little. That will give the faster idle you require, and also will probably cure '10 kicks to start' issue.

I've not done any carb adjustments yet, I hope putting the throttle stop screw sorts me out.
