Hi All,
[Original Type Caliper] Having difficulty refitting the brake pistons - getting them to pass the new seals, have damaged one set of seals by applying to much force. All is spotlessly clean, new seals from AN and new stainless pistons, brake fluid used to lubricate. Never been troubled before on many caliper rebuilds so any advice welcome.

New stainless pistons may well be the problem. I've seen them with almost no chamfer on the back edge. I'd suggest comparing them with your originals (which should be quite rounded). They simply won't enter without damaging the seals if they aren't chamfered.
