Anyone else experienced their Inter cutting out at junctions changing down into 2nd Gear?
I am running in my Dads restored 1956 INTER 30 and have had issues starting from cold even at 22* and when running approaching junctions she has cut out 5 times out of 5 approaching a junction, with plenty of revs and clutch depressed. So not stalling, more like a kill switch on a modern bike!
any inspiration from anyone?
Try raising the fuel level…

Is pilot circuit working? …
Is pilot circuit working? Sounds like fuel issue. You know the pilot screw lets more fuel in when unscrewed, unlike the other Amal carburettors which let in more air? When setting the sweet spot, it's best to err on the slightly rich side with the screw opened to just before tickover drops off, rather than on the lean side with the screw further in. Otherwise fuel starvation can occur on opening throttle.
The other thing is...I don't blip the throttle. Open it steadily, or the engine sucks in sudden gulps of excess air which can kill it if pilot circuit is on the lean side.
And have you tried a different plug? Failure is rare but does happen.

Thorspark?
Sean,
the bike doesn't have a Thorspark magneto replacement by any chance?
My Es2 had one for a while and would cut out when the brake light came on.

Try raising the fuel level till it floods then back off a few mm.
