My bike has a mounting hole on the clutch lever side but not on the brake side. Has anyone fitted a mirror to the right hand side . If so, how and what type of mirror?
Thanks
John

Brake side should have a threaded hole for the mirror in the master cylinder.
Thanks for the reply Joe but there isn't a hole in the master cylinder. I think I will have to fit a bar end mirror

Sorry John,
Very early master cylinder bodies (part# 06-1939) did indeed not have the threaded hole. On my own bikes I encountered none of these hence forgot, though we did have some in the Andover Norton stock until recently. Later ones (part#06-3667) had.

Joe - I could do with mirrors on my 71 Fastback - there is a through hole on each lever body (8mm?) but no thread. Any suggestions?
Cheers

Threaded insert?
See the earlier note in this thread . A long threaded section may take a nut on the underside

A threaded insert is a good idea. Just putting the mirror stem through a plain hole lets the mirror turn easily.

Another option to fit a larger range of mirrors would be to get some female to male adaptors made up. Have them on MKIII, only it another 25mm or higher.

Another option : fitting a bar end mirror for a very good rear visibility.

Here's a silly question from an outlander (and you can consider the source):
Why was the bike not supplied with a mirror on the right as standard? I would think that while driving on the left hand (wrong) side of the road a mirror on the left would only be good for watching the dollys walking on the sidewalk.

Thanks to everyone who replied to this . I have fitted a Halcyon bar end mirror on the RHS. The bike was imported from Canada by the previous owner which would explain the only mounting hole being on the LHS.
Thanks again
