I would think so. Going that route myself to try and get an age related reg for the Commando. Apart from having free road tax (not my prime concern) I want to fend off the bean counters who keep telling me they didn't make Commandos like mine in '77(*** 37R) and not to be turned away from shows where the cutoff is pre '73.

A Factory Record Certificate is a record of what has been written about the machine in the factory records.

An official Dating Letter is a letter required by the DVLA and written by a delegated Club Official to verify the manufacturer's date of manufacture.

To get an Official Dating Letter, you need to print off a form from the Club website. Select Records and then Application for an Age Related Registration Number.

Thanks for that info David and good luck with yours Keith. My Commando is registered 1974 but the vin plate shows 1973 so im hoping for free road Tax next April when the new cut off date comes in. I do hate paying the Goverment for anything unless i have to :)
