Crankshaft for Atlas

Forums

I am uploading a photo of my flywheels. The left one is out of a Commando and has a number in the casting: 06-0732. The right one is from a G15CSR and has number: DA18637. I have a better crankshaft with the same number 06-0732 on it. Can I assume that that is also Commando?

I have another mystery crankshaft that is not too badly worn with number 23318. Can I assume this one is not Commando and therefore good for the Atlas?

Hi Jonathan, In my Norton Villiers 1968 Master Parts List it lists the flywheel only for the Atlas and all the derivatives as pt no 24248. Interestingly it lists the flywheel only for the 650SS as pt no 23315 (close to number you referenced). In my 1969 Norton Villiers Commando Spares List it lists the flywheel only as pt no 06.0731. I unfortunately have no reference material for the later 750's and 850's but casting numbers are often different to part numbers. Regards, Howard
