Commando indicator question

Forums

Hi All Need some advice from anyonethat can get their head around electricals. My indicators, although working perfectly, are not wired up the way I am used to, that is switchup for right and down for left. It is currently the reverse of this. Now can I just swap the wires at the blinker can or is there another way to do this without a major wire change. Mechanicals are easy wiring makes no sense to me. Thanks in advance for your help

Thats exactly what you do. Swop left and right front and back, probably easy to do in the headlight connectors. Best of luck.

My Mk1A 850 with Lucas indicator switch on right sidewasalso originally wired at the factory withup for left and down for right. Got used to this way round - even kept it the same when replacing worn out Lucas unit witha pattern Sparxswitch.

Still having probs? I saw you wanted to change at flasher. Can't do that as the feed and supply is common to both LH and RH. You need to identify the green/red and grn/white leads in headlamp from indicator switch and swop the connections at their respective female 3 way sockets.
