To cut a long story short, have had a Commando for 17 years. I only rode it the 1st year I had it. Have recently taken it to a dealer for restoration but they cannot issue an M O T as the riveted plate with the frame number is missing. There is no reason to suspect anything untoward as they say the frame had been restored prior to my purchase ( from a dealer who no longer exists) & probably the plate was never replaced. Question. does anyone know where i can get a plate ? myself & the dealer have both drawn blanks. I have the logbook with the frame number but that is all. Any help on locating a plate would be greatly appreciated.

Norvil used to do them, you had to send a photocopy of your logbook and they would come back stamped with the frame number.
