Can anyone tell me if pilot jet sizes are the same for the mk2a with black plastic air box and previous models with the pancake air filter? Also mine had k+n's on it when I got it and now I have put the early style air filter on and I have to have both air screws almost right in (screwed out 1/8th turn from fully in)
all best

well no most Amal Carburetors to weaken the mixture on the air valve you turn the air screw out ward to enrichen the mixture you turn the air screw in ward and then listen for the engine note to change, by using a air box or K&N fillers your running the mixture on the rich side so then you do not need the change the pilot jet , but you may have to change the main jet to a smaller jet size, is the norm ,hope there is something constructive in this, yours anna j
Thanks for that Anna,
i pulled the air screws out and found broken perished o rings I replaced these and the motor runs fine
