Recently purchased a late Commando electric start. In large pieces, the gearbox was dismantled in a box. Not sure where this spacer goes. Any ideas?

I think this may be:-NORTON 850 MK III - 1975Item: GEARBOX SPROCKET SPACERPart Number: 040131If it is you may see a small polished wear mark in a ring around the outside as it sits inside the ouput shaft oil seal.Look on the andover norton site:-http://www.nortonmotors.de/ANIL/Norton%20Website/norton/parts-list.php?Model=n850_e&Plate=006&Part=11RegardsTony
