Auto oil filter for Mk.lll

Forums

I have re-mounted the oil filter mounting and am using a standardAmerican car oil filter mounting. Can anyone recommend a standard car filter of the same dimentions that has the appropriate pressure / flow / etc. specifications as the original MK III filter?

I did not use the Norton mounting. I used an off the shelf car filter mounting and want to use a standard off the shelf car filter, but want to pick one that matches the technical needs of the Norton Commando MK III.

Hi Chris,

Not quite understanding the issue, if you are just relocating the existing original MKIII oil filter mount then there are loads of filters that will fit. Check out accessnorton.com as there is a cross reference list there.

Hope this helps.

The mounting is not a Norton mounting. It is a car oil filter mounting. Want to use a car filter with similar flow, pressure and other characteristics that are needed in the Norton Commando MK III engine.

In Europe, the Commando does take a standard car-type filter.smiley Didn't they sell many CitroÃ?n Dyanes and Simcas in the U.S. ?

You're really going to need U.S. specific advice on this one !
