Calling wideline dominator owners, i am trying to to rebuild an 88 from a total basket case where many parts are missing. I have a tank at last, a strap which i think is the right one, and a new seat. How does the tank actually fix to the frame at the rear of the strap. How does the seat fit on, and lastlywith the headlamp brackets im guessing there must be some kind of centalising ring at the top of the tubular bit as its inside diameter is bigger than the fork stanchion and it flops about.Any info, diagrams, pictures etc will be gratefully recieved.

What year?
The first widelineframes were introduced in 1951. There were several changes before production finished. Later headlamp mounting a were completely different from the early models, with the neat instrument panel.

Hi there, not sure if this…
Hi there, not sure if this relevant but having owned both a 1954 88 and now a 1959 Wideline ES2 I can confirm that there are significant differences in much of the "tinware". If NOC can't supply I can vouch for the products of Fred Williams - he reproduces accurate examples of pretty much all the tinware for most Featherbed models. Some of the more obscure items he sells I had previously considered to be "unobtanium".
Hope this helps, John.

Your tank strap should have a loop on the end to take a roller part no.16365 from NOC spares shop .The roller has a long 5/16bsc bolt through it which screws into a threaded roller held by a bracket 22334 which fixes to the inside front face of the underseat tool tray. The seat should have 2 studs about 3/4 way back which pass through holes in the cross brace just forward of the rear shock mounts .The seat is then secured with 2 wing nuts on these studs ,The headlight brackets should have a grooved rubber support ring at the top which lips over the bracket.
