I have the Canadian model with the lights wire for constant use and was planning to fit the 3 wire Lucas altenator and Podronics regulator/rectifier.
Can anyone advise if the assimilator is still used and how to wire?
Also any mounting tips for Podronics unit? Are there any ready available solutions?

Hi
On my mk3 i extended the three wires from the podtronics unit (useing bullet conectors) and mounted it where the old rectifyer was this can be tight as the battery can get in the way.
as for the warning lamp i could never get this working after the conversion it allways flickerd.
i got a device that fits nicely in the headlamp shell
