Nortonbits eBay shop - who's had dealings?

Just come to start rebuilding the Dominator engine and all was fine, until I was getting ready to put the head on. The gasket in the kit from nortonbits won't fit.

I have now ordered one from the club.

I bought off ebay as i wasn't a member at the time. Has anyone else had problems as he doesn't answer his phone and hasn't answered e-bay messages

cheers Lee

It is perfectly legal, and should be encouraged, for people to give their experiences - good or bad - of any purchase they make. As an exampleit is not libellous to say "In my opinion they are a bunch of arrogant B's who gave me very poor service and sent poor-fitting rubbish". To say something was poor quality or didn't fit is essentiallyfactual. NOC members must be told of any supplier's shortcomings. Most of the websales sites also have "Reviews"where people do say what they think. They oftenneed to be taken with a pinch of salt, but they are useful in deciding what to buy and from whom. Facebook is another good place to air your opinions and it can have positive results. I know someone whose bank was kicked into gear after a complaint they made on Facebook.

As I have posted elsewhere, you actually have more rights under Distance Selling Regulations than you do when shopping in person. This means that a mail-order company who persistently gives poor service orfails to comply with the regs will soon be out of business. I know of one particular Norton parts supplier who didn't accept that the DSR's applied to them with postal sales and quoted "Terms" which flew in the face of the Sale of Goods Act!

Good shopping but be careful out there, Lionel
