Hepolite piston rings

Posted by terry_guy at September 05. 2018

Hi,

Does anyone out there know where I can obtain the following please?

A set of rings for the Hepolite pistons fitted to my 1956 Dominator 99

Details:-
Bore:- Standard = 2.677"
Compression rings (2 per piston) = .062" thick x .105" wide
Oil control ring (1 per piston) = .155" thick x .096" wide.

I had a "Nip up" recently on the RH piston. The piston is saveable but I don't want to fit the old rings.

Help please

Terry Guy

Hiyah Terry - Have you tried Ken White in Nazeing, Essex ?  He's on 01992892537.  He'll have them anyway.  cheers, Howard

Hi Robert,

Many Thanks for your reply, sorry for the late response but I've been away on holiday.

Yes please if these are of the correct dimensions they'd be perfect as the issue I've had was on just one bore.

Can you let me know how much you want for them including postage and packing etc.

its probably best if you email me on tag541@gmail.com or call me on 07860497936 for cost and address details.

once again thank you very much for responding

Terry Guy (TLP 185 ex Harold Daniell)

I am really amazed sometimes how quick steering the 99 is, and its still on the old type Avons, might also be that I have been getting some track time in on  a little Ducati and getting a bit too bold  at times .Must remember NO RACING ON THE ROAD!!.And act my age. Looking at a 20's Sunbeam flat tanker SV , perhaps thats the answer.

20s Sunbeam flat tankers are remarkably fast. There's a youtube clip of someone taking his up to 60 mph. A challenge to keep up with them on twisty roads.
