Source for Paint ?

Posted by mike_haworth at November 07. 2018

Is it possible to buy paint in original Norton colours, or do I have to seek out a best match from the various paints on offer ? I have a beautifully painted Dove Grey (I think that's the colour) '59 Dominator but over time the odd chips have appeared. Is it possible to buy 'touch up' paint to tackle these chips ? So far enquiries (via email) of various paint suppliers have elicited no replies at all, not even negative ones. I guess no one is interested in such a small order !

Check out www.rsbikepaint.com. They do just about everything, with an easy drop-down menu to identify your model, year and correct colour. The do touch-ups, aerosols or by the tin for professional spraying. You may have to play around with the year and model on the drop-down, as they list the Dove Grey from 1960. Not cheap, but cheaper than a respray! I have bought paint from them for several bikes, and the shade has always been accurate.
