Special Norton Exhibition at ClassicExpo in Salzburg / Austria

Posted by Roland Grossbichler at October 04. 2017

Hello,
the Norton Owners Club Austria - Sulzbach organises a special Exhibition at the ClassicExpo (http://www.classicexpo.at) in Salzburg / Austria (20th - 22nd October 2017) to promote next year’s International Rally 2018 in Austria at the Red Bull Racing Circuit. The Classic Expo in Salzburg is the biggest Classic Show in Austria and similar to Stafford Show but with Classic Cars and Classic Motorcycles.
The theme of our Exhibition is GP Motorcycle Racing in Austria on the motorway near Salzburg (from 1947 to 1969). Our Club-Stand is with its 295m² and over 30 Classic Motorcycles the biggest stand in the Exhibition Hall. We are going to build a “section of the motorway” with a curve and a starting/finishing straight, a “paddock” with historic petrol station and a “parking area” for out street legal motorcycles.

We invited following former Motorcycle Racers who started at the Austrian GP Races on the motorway near Salzburg in the sixties:

- Rudolf Thalhammer
- Heinz Rosner
- Wolfgang Stropek
- Franz Fagerer
- Manfred Magnus
- Wolfgang Menschik
- Walter Guldan
- Andreas Janisch
- Ferdinand Kranawetvogl
- Ewald Rosenegger
- Manfred Lentsch

Until now we have following original Racing Motorcycles on the “Starting Grid” of our Norton Club-Stand:

- Norton Manx 30M
- Norton Manx 40M
- Norton International
- Seeley Matchless G50
- Jawa Worksracer
- Puch Worksracer
- Benelli Quattro
- Rotax Worksracer
- Rickman Norton
- Norton Domiracer
- Norton Commando Shortstroke Productionracer
- Rickman Metisse

Hi Roland,

nice photos and videos.

I really enjoyed the 'warm up' video footage.

Manx music!

Cheers

Hi,

Great Stuff, it shames the NOC of Great Britain, seemingly a static stand and a row of machines seems to be the general norm here in GB! Very well done.

Cheers
